Conversations with my dogs
For many of us who have become accustomed to working from home, perhaps due to Covid 19 or just out of choice, working from home can be a lonely journey. There often is no glory in this work set up as it takes a lot of discipline to take time out away from your desk.
Having a dog or two can do wonders for a work from home Mom or Dad. As much as they are a distraction from time to time in our working day, this can be a good thing in our lives. Why would this be so?
Dogs understand us more than we can ever know. They sense when we are having a difficult day. They can feel our pain. It is often said that dogs have the ability to take on their human’s pain onto themselves. If they were able to talk they would jump hoops to make us happy and feel better about ourselves, before considering themselves.
Therefore, should you be privileged to have a fur child in your home office, take the opportunity to consult with your best friend in those tough moments when you just need to load off some stress. Take a tea or coffee break with your pup and share some treats together. Go for a walk to clear your head and get your pup energized.
Dogs truly are our best friends. Their intentions are always driven by true loyalty and true love.
Spring Time
As we enter the beautiful season of spring our dogs too feel the “new life” vibes and need to get outside to play.
For us too as pet owners there is nothing greater for soul, body andmind than getting that leash out, and taking on the road with our fur child companions.
For us at Dynamic Dog Chef September month ended on a very sad note. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Rosey. Rosey was our Quality Control Officer who just loved testing the doggy biscuits as
they came out of the oven. Every time I baked a batch of biscuits I would always have a special one for her to taste and approve – and she always approved.
Going for walks now with Max alone is very hard as Rosey loved walking. There was major excitement and tail wagging when the leashes came out. I think she fancied the dachshund on the corner named Blackie as they would always exchange notes whenever we passed by there.
Rosey may no longer be by our side, however all our beautiful memories shared with her are etched within our hearts forever, and she will be remembered and cherished forever.
As you get into the vibe of spring may you have loads of joy and fun with your fur children. Take some time out of your busy day and have some special moments with them.

Holiday Time
As we rapidly move towards the end of yet another year, may you experience within your heart and being, inner peace and joy. How do we find inner peace in a world currently filled with turmoil and uncertainty?
Many families face huge challenges in the midst of an economy battered from within and without as a result of endless geopolitical tensions. Should you find yourself at the fortunate end of the spectrum, show your gratitude with random acts of kindness, even if it is just giving off some time to spend with a friend or family member? Also consider giving a food donation to your local animal shelter, or even better, spending some time volunteering at an animal shelter. Find meaning beyond the tinsel on the tree, or the lavish meals being prepared by sparing a thought for humans and animals less fortunate than you.
For those planning to go away on holiday, please make sure your pets are taken care of by responsible people who really care about them. With the very warm days ahead, remember to take care of your pet’s hydration. Make sure they have adequate shelter on those very warm days. If possible make them part of your holiday. There are many pet friendly holiday destinations in South Africa. After all is said and done, they are part of our families.
